AKC paperwork
I received an email from the AKC today with the litter registration number, which is:
HP484683
Now that the litter number has been issued, I expect to receive the paperwork within the next 5 business days. I will send it out to all of you as soon as I received it!
Thank you for your patience!

Spaghetti in your puppy's poop?
Anne's new family called me today because she had worms in her poop as well as in her vomit. They were concerned, so I figured I would share with all of you that this is completely normal and no reason for concern.
All of the puppies went to the vet yesterday and received their first full spectrum dewormer. We deworm our puppies at 2, 4 and 6 weeks, but those dewormer do not work on hookworms. Puppies have to be at a certain age before they can receive a dewormer that will work for all intestinal parasites. So if you picked up your dog yesterday (Friday) or will receive it today, you will find roundworms in your puppy's poop. The dewormer causes some puppies to vomit, which is why you can find expelled worms in their vomit as well.
Not to ruin your dinner, but here is what roundworms look like
While it is a rather disgusting experience, it is necessary for your puppy to get rid of them. Puppies are born with worms, or their eggs to be precise, and all puppies do have worms. A dog is unlikely to be completely worm free throughout his or her life, which is why vets recommend to deworm your dog about 4 times a year. Mind you that most heartworm prevention medications already include a full spectrum dewormer! I personally recommend Diatomaceous Earth to keep your dog's worm population low. Here is an article about it!
It only takes about 48 hours until all the adult worms are expelled. It is recommended to deworm your dog again at 12 weeks and 16 weeks, which is the same time as their second and third round of shots are due.

We are getting ready!
We are in the final days! Tomorrow the first puppy will leave for his new home, and over the the weekend all of his siblings will follow. I gave them a final bath today and cut their claws, so you won't have to worry about that for a little bit. Tomorrow at 3:20pm I will take the whole litter to the our vet, where they will receive their first round of shots, deworming and their microchip. I will also receive the health certificate, shot record and acclimatization statement for each one of them.
I realized today that I still haven't sent out the contracts yet... I apologize for being so behind on this! Raising puppies is usually a family business here at our house. My husband does the dirty work, and I take care of contracts, pictures, emails etc. Now that my husband had to deploy unexpectedly, I had to do everything on my own. Those were 8 very interesting weeks I say!
If you haven't done so yet, please be so kind and send me an email or text message (9109229098) with your name, address, phone and email. I can then finish the contracts and send them out.
The AKC paperwork has not come back yet. If you are planning to pick up your puppy and I won't have it by then, I will send it to you via mail as soon as I received it. If you have your puppy scheduled to ship, then it doesn't really matter to you since I have to send the paperwork for your dog anyway.
The flight kennels arrived two days ago and yesterday I received their collars and leashes. If you haven't bought food for you puppy yet, we recommend Purina ProPlan Puppy. But I am a big fan of Purina in general, so any other Purina brand should work just fine.
