Visit us
We don't mind if you stop by and take a look at the litter, as soon as they are 2 weeks old. If you let me know which time you will be here, I will have freshly brewed coffee ready! Please know that you will have to remove your shoes upon entry of our home, as well as you will have to disinfect your hands.

Reservations
If you want to reserve one of our puppies, we need a down payment of $300. The rest of the purchase price has to be paid 2 weeks prior to pick-up/shipping. We do not "hold" puppies. Since the down-payment is non-refundable and a commitment to purchase, please be 100% sure that you are not going to change your mind about which puppy you want. If you are unsure, just give it a couple more days or weeks, observe how their coats are changing and their overall appearance. You can always contact us and we will be more than happy to help you making the right choice for you and your family!

Payment methods
We prefer checks, but also accept paypal as well as cash.

Pick-up/shipping
The puppy has to be at least 8 weeks plus 1 day of age before he or she goes to the new home. If a puppy seems to need a few more days with us, you will have to wait. The health of the puppies is always our biggest concern, we hope you can understand and accept that. Your puppy can be picked up at our home.
We have a lot experience in shipping our puppies all over the US. We know that a lot of people are concerned about "shipping a live animal", but let me assure you that all our puppies always got to their destination without issues. Some puppies had to travel as far as to the west coast, and they were happy and healthy once their new owners welcomed them.

If you wish to have your puppy shipped, the fee will be $250 which includes the airline approved flight kennel with food bowls. We do not rent kennels from the airline, so the kennel is yours to keep. We will ship the puppy to the closest available airport on the fastest route and connections. Our puppies fly with DELTA AIRLINES.

Last but not least I want to say a few words about puppy SCAMS and online puppy buying...

I understand that buying a puppy online is a scary endeavor for most of you, especially if you have never done it before. Unfortunately, the Whippet can be a rare find here in the United States and there are almost always a whole bunch of miles between you and the puppy of your choice. Scams on the internet have people pay down payments for puppies who never arrive, or probably don't even exist. I want to assure you that we are not a scam. We are real and so are our puppies.
It is important to us that you know WHO WE are, just as we want to know WHO YOU are. In 2013 I therefore started to keep this blog constantly updated on the litter and the individual puppies. This blog will provide you with hundreds of pictures, videos, funny stories and important information about our litter. And I already mentioned earlier that visitors are always welcome, and I don't mind long conversations on the phone if it helps you to feel confident with your decision on a purchase.

Wow... this was one long post! I promise that updates will follow as soon as the mating is done, and we can give you an estimated arrival date of our little ones!

First Puppy Inventory

Today I had the chance to make our puppy inventory, and see what we actually got! The whole whelping process took about 11 hours and while I keep track of every single puppy that is born, one gets confused easily the more you have in front of you. Especially when some share the same color and markings.

We have exactly 4 boys and 4 girls! Below you can find their pictures and gender. We also name our puppies since they are a part of our family now, until they will go to their new forever families, where they will receive their permanent names.

Victoria, girl

Noah, boy

Lilly, girl

Ice Age Candy, girl
my son chose this name. He says the white color
comes from ice age, and the dark one from too much candy.

Forest, boy

Chopin, boy (hold)

Amadeus, boy (no longer available)

Donatella, girl

Nursery video

I did a little head count while I cleaned and sanitized the nursery. That gave me a chance to take this video. Enjoy!

Our October 2015 litter has arrived!

Last night we have been blessed with 8 healthy and strong Whippet puppies. I have yet to identify them, note their gender and a first color and marking guess, but for now I can say that we have more girls than boys. Attached you can find some first snapshots of the nursery, and a video will follow shortly.

Litter Announcement!

I know that some of you have been waiting for an announcement like this, so here it is!

"Domino vom Tempelgarten" x "Moneypenny"

are expecting a litter for October 12th 2015!

Experience tells me that the litter will be born this weekend, as Moneypenny is getting increasingly nervous and refuses to sleep anywhere but right next to my bed. We are prepared for this litter to arrive, and everything is set up to welcome a bunch of beautiful and healthy Whippet puppies into this world!

If you are not yet familiar with our popular breeding pair, here is some information to them. Within the next days I will post more information about the reservation and purchase of puppies, details about how we raise them and I will certainly also provide you with pictures of the nursery once they arrived.

Moneypenny:
Moneypenny is fawn with black brindle and black mask. Penny, as we call her, has a very feminine appearance and always behaves like a lady. She is very smart and was very easy to potty-train when she was young. Although Penny isn't blue, she comes from a long line of blue Whippets and carries the  gene for this popular but rare color. Moneypenny comforms the international (FCI) as well as US (AKC) breed requirements. Penny showed us in 2013 what a great mother she is! She took excellent care of her litter. Penny is a great family dog and excellent with kids of all ages. She is sensitive, obedient and incredibly affectionate.

Domino:
Domino was imported from Europe in 2011 and is a red brindle with white. His markings are beautiful and his coat is incredibly soft. Domino conforms the international (FCI) as well as the American (AKC) standard. He is a very devoted and obedient dog, and a great dad since he usually takes care of the puppies while Moneypenny gets a break. Domino is very athletic and brings a nice European touch into our litters, since his frame better represents the original Whippet with it's more petit and elegant appearance. Domino is a blue gene carrier.

Both dogs passed their health check with flying colors, got vaccinated and are ready for the mating. Both dogs are AKC (US) as well as FCI (Europe) registered.
