Scuttling 4 days old and a caring father

Let me provide you with some pictures of 10 scuttling puppies, at 4 days of age. Their coats started to turn ligther in color, and markings are becoming more obvious. All pups are developing just fine and surprisingly at pretty much the same speed. Some breeders weight them every day, however, I don't want to take them away from their mom and siblings every day. That makes Moneypenny nervous and a puppy always feels most comfortable with his litter. I check on the pups once an hour, and make a list of which puppy is nursing at that moment. That way I can determine if each one of them is nursing enough.

Domino decided to be actively parenting, which is
a big surprise. He would clean the pups and keep
them warm whenever Moneypenny leaves the
whelping box.

First single shots of the pups!

Moneypenny went to play outside today, which gave me the opportunity to take pictures of the puppies and make a little inventory. We have 4 girls and 6 boys. I hope the dozer and the flower make a clear gender statement ;)

Are you interested in one of our puppies?

If you are interested in one of our puppies, please read through this post as it contains helpful information.

Price
The price for a puppy of this litter is 750$.

What comes with the dog
Your puppy will be up to date on shots, as well as he will be dewormed and microchipped! Each dog comes with a health certificate, a buyers contract, AKC form as well as helpful informations and a blue or pink collar with leash :)

Visit us
We don't mind if you stop by and take a look at the litter, as soon as they are 2 weeks old. If you let me know which time you will be here, I will have freshly brewed coffee ready!

Reservations
If you want to reserve one of our puppies, we need a down payment of 300$. The rest of the purchase price has to be paid before pick-up/shipping. We do not "hold" puppies. Since the down-payment is non-refundable and a commitment to purchase, please be 100% sure that you are not going to change your mind about which puppy you want. If you are unsure, just give it a couple more days or weeks, observe how their coats are changing and their overall appearance.

Payment methods
We accept debit/credit card payment, paypal as well as cash. Credit and debit card payments are going to be processed through a certified security server.

Pick-up/shipping
The puppy has to be at least 8 weeks of age before he or she goes to the new home. If a puppy seems to need a few more days with us, you will have to wait. The health of the puppies is always our biggest concern, we hope you can understand and accept that.
Your puppy can be picked up at our home. The shipping fee is 250$ which includes a flight kennel for you to keep.

The whelping

I was really hoping that Moneypenny would whelp before Friday morning, since my husband was scheduled to leave early Friday morning to a 10 weeks traning. See, my husband worked as a medic in NYC for several years. Helping to deliver puppies would be a piece of cake for him! Puppies are cute... once they are clean and dry :) Whelping is a messy process and I honestly pictured my husband doing the work, while I take a bath and relax. However, Moneypenny went into labor Thursday night and entered the second stage on Friday night, at 11:21.

We had a really nice and spacious whelping box prepared. I even decided to make it more girly and paint some flowers on the wood! The heater was standing right next to the box, to keep the puppies warm and cozy during the first weeks of their your lifes. However, Moneypenny found a better spot.

She decided to have her puppies in a corner in our walk-in closet. I tried to convince her that the box we prepared is much better, but eventually gave up and quickly folded up a 28x28x12 shipping box a few hours before she started to push. For now I will let them stay in the closet, but move them to the whelping box as soon as Moneypenny feels comfortable with it. Thank god I have so many of those shipping boxes due to my business! Since I want the little family to have a clean environment, I replace the box daily, as well as I replace the cushion inside of the box with a fresh one once a day.

This boy is only a few minutes old.

Between 11:21 pm and 06:57 am, Moneypenny delivered ten healthy and strong puppies. They are all well developed and not even one gave us reason for concern.

She just finished the whelping process. This is the first

side the box, shaking and staring at the pups...)
